Double Clutch (Brenna Blixen, book 1) by Liz Reinhardt

I wasn’t even able to duck from the many blocks and toys being thrown back and forth from my 2 year to my 1 year old. Saxon seems relentless to constantly ruffle Brenna’s feathers, so in the next book, I’m really excited to see how everything ends with this trio.

The conversations between the characters felt very realistic. She has created believable characters, characters whom we get to adore, love and understand. So, why is Brenna having doubts about their relationship?

While, in an effort to not trivialize or There is a compelling dynamic between the three central characters and the tension between them is well-crafted, the triangulated attraction maintaining enough strength to carry the plot. Oct 21, Say rated it it was amazing Shelves: He still has his flaws, but overall, I think he is a good guy with a big heart. He makes Brenna feel warm and comfortable, without the mind game aspect reinnardt knows is there with Saxon. It is in reverse though, as if Marianne would have chosen Colonel Brandon first and not have taking her chances with Willoughby.

This is bj great read for an older YA audience. Nov 20, Kirsty Bicknell rated it really liked it Shelves: Brenna drove me nuts, so expect that when you are reading this series. But hey if I were in her place I would probably be out of my mind choosing from two hot boys. Of course I won’t tell you, you have to read a book to figure it out by yourself. But he is Insanely gorgeous, funny as hell, great with the flanter, smart, but shy, a gentlemen, caring and vulnerable.

The late night phone calls, going to the movies, introducing you to friends and then there’s the physical part and how explosive it feels for the first time with reinharxt you actually care about.

Review also posted on my blog: Between keeping the peace with her lovingly over-protective parents, designing t-shirts for her high school’s rising punk band, keeping up her grades in classes split between academic and technical high school, and running the track like a maniac, Brenna has enough to worry about with out juggling two guys who make her heart thud and drive her crazy all at once.

The rest of the book deals with her choices in Paris. On the other hand, you have Jake Kelly. I’m such a Jake fan, so knowing she would be with Saxon in Paris made me nervous. I truly loved Double Clutch and couldn’t wait to read Junk Miles, but was also a little nervous about it. Where do I start? They just kind of ended and left you wondering what happened. Despite it not really being my kind of book, I do understand the appeal of Double Clutch and why so many people enjoyed it.

There was real, true, honest emotion in these relationships that made me sigh, cry and get a little excited over.
